SoLa Rum, Food & Wine Festival

The 4th annual SoLa Rum, Food & Wine Festival took place on Sunday, February 17 from 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM in Lauderhill, Florida.  This event showcased several rum brands along with food and wine pairings under the stars.  There were also performances by national and regional recording artists throughout the evening.

Tickets ranged from $45 for general admission, which includes food, wine, and rum samples from participating vendors, to $100 for the VIP experience, which also included a three course dinner with wine pairings, a glass of champagne, and a gift bag.  There were discounts for couples tickets - $80 for two general admission tickets and $180 for two VIP tickets.  A portion of the proceeds went to the Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation (LRCCF), which develops educational programs and provides access to employment opportunities in order to improve the standard of living for residents of Central Broward County.

Participating rum brands included:

• Tanduay Rum: Gold and Silver rums made in the Philippines
• Miami Club Rum: Platinum rum made with local ingredients and "Infused with Music"

The festival also featured musical performances by:

• Jazmine Sullivan: Grammy nominated R&B artist
• DeAndre Brackensick: R&B artist and former American Idol finalist
• April RaQuel & Kouture Funk: South Florida artist performing urban rock, soul, and funk music
