Barbados Pre-Cruise Excursion: Mount Gay & St. Nicholas Abbey with Lunch (Friday March 6, 2026)
Sip, savor, and explore Barbados’s rum heritage on this full-day VIP adventure! Go beyond the tasting room on this immersive experience designed for serious rum enthusiasts, an opportunity that is not available to the general public.
In the morning, travel to St. Lucy parish at the northern tip of the island to Mount Gay Rum Distillery, where you’ll enjoy a private, in-depth tour of the fermentation house, stills, and aging warehouses. The visit continues with a premium tasting featuring limited editions — with the opportunity to purchase bottles — and concludes with a light lunch at the distillery.
In the afternoon, step back in time at St. Nicholas Abbey. Explore the Great House and watch the 1930's film about life on the plantation, followed by a private tour of the farm-to-glass distillery and fully operational 1890's steam mill led by owner and distiller Larry Warren. Inside the bottling plant, enjoy a specially curated tasting of unique single cask rums and take home a complimentary 200 ml bottle of St. Nicholas Abbey 5-Year Rum. There will be time after the tasting to visit the boutique and have a bottle engraved with your name or personal message.

Saint Kitts: Old Road Rum & Spice Mill Lunch and Beach Excursion (Monday March 9, 2026)
Experience two iconic sides of St. Kitts in one seamless excursion. Enjoy round-trip transportation from the cruise port to Old Road Rum for a guided tour of the 1681 heritage site that once housed a sugar factory and rum distillery (perhaps the oldest in the Caribbean), along with insight into plans for a future distillery. The visit includes a tasting flight of Old Road Rum’s three expressions with an opportunity to purchase bottles.
The afternoon continues at beautiful Cockleshell Beach, where you’ll enjoy a relaxed beach day at Spice Mill Restaurant, complete with lunch, an open bar, and reserved beach chairs and umbrellas. History, hospitality, and island indulgence — perfectly balanced.

Antigua: Antigua Distillery, Lunch, & Nelson's Dockyard Excursion (Tuesday March 10, 2026)
Step inside the rarely seen world of Antigua Distillery — home of English Harbour Rum — for a private, behind-the-scenes tour and guided tasting. This distillery is not open to the public, but this exclusive visit takes you inside for a firsthand look at production including fermentation, distillation, aging, and blending. Following the tour, enjoy a curated tasting of the distillery’s celebrated rums with the opportunity to purchase bottles at Premier Beverages.
The day continues in English Harbour with a group lunch at Mainbrace Restaurant & Pub inside the Copper and Lumber Store Hotel, with stunning views of the marina and Fort Berkeley.
After lunch, visit Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for the "Rum in the Ruins" experience. Led by Ms. Desley Gardner, Heritage Resources Supervisor, learn about the unique past of Nelson’s Dockyard National Park and Antigua while sipping a specialty rum cocktail in one of the most picturesque places in the Caribbean. There will be time afterwards to explore the imposing forts and naval structures at the site.

Les Saintes: Fort Napoléon Tour & Rhum Bielle Master Class Excursion (Wednesday March 11, 2026)
Discover the highlights of Les Saintes on this exclusive excursion combining island history and Guadeloupe rhum culture.
Begin with a brief tour of Terre-de-Haut by private bus, offering an overview of the island’s villages, coastline, and viewpoints, followed by a guided visit to Fort Napoléon, where panoramic views and historical context bring the island’s past to life. Afterwards, enjoy free time for lunch on your own—either back aboard the ship or at a local restaurant in Terre-de-Haut.
In the afternoon, gather for the short shuttle ride to Hôtel Bois Joli for a private master class with Rhum Bielle, featuring a guided tasting and discussion of agricole rhum production and terroir. Conclude with time to shop at a local rhum boutique in town before returning to the ship.

Dominica: Rosalie Bay Distillery Excursion (Thursday March 12, 2026)
Discover one of the most meaningful rum experiences in the Caribbean with an exclusive visit to Rosalie Bay Distillery —the world’s only conservation-focused distillery. As a non-profit organization, their revenue directly funds sea turtle and whale research, coral reef restoration, and protected area management across Dominica.
This VIP shore excursion takes you to scenic Rosalie on the rugged east coast of Dominica for a guided tour of the distillery campus, offering insight into daily operations. Travel from the ship to Distillerie La Favorite for an in-depth, privately guided tour of the working distillery. The visit is expected to showcase the full production cycle, including freshly harvested sugar cane being crushed, active fermentation vats, two Creole column stills creating fresh distillate, and the aging barrel rooms.
The experience concludes with a tasting of premium La Favorite rhums, providing valuable insight into the craftsmanship, terroir, and traditions that define authentic Martinique rhum agricole. There will also be time to shop at the on-site boutique, which offers rare bottlings and unique souvenirs.

Begin with an in-depth guided tour covering fermentation, distillation, maturation, and the distinctive techniques that define WIRD’s rums. The experience continues with a guided tasting of premium and distillery-exclusive expressions, with the possibility of sampling raw distillate or rum drawn straight from the barrel. A light brunch at the Visitor Centre follows the tasting, perfectly timed before your onward journey.
After the visit, continue on to the airport in time for afternoon flights departing at 3 PM or later, ensuring a seamless and memorable finale to your Rum Traveler Cruise.
